I’ve come to love my Bosu Ball! It’s such a great piece of exercise equipment to have in your home. It allows you to do an endless amount of varying exercises from chest, abs, legs, etc. If you’ve never heard of a Bosu Ball – it’s essentially half of a stability ball as pictured below.
This piece of equipment was initially entered into my workout to use while doing push ups. I didn’t anticipate it being so hard. Although I’ve seen people in the gym using the bosu ball in the opposite manner to do push ups, I was taught to do them as follows
There are videos available on YouTube that can provide more information as to what form to use.
I found the stability factor a little intimidating. I’m not going to lie. When my trainer then told me we were going to start doing lunges with the Bosu Ball, my heart started to race. You can do front lunges like pictured here
I’ve provided a video below as well
You can also do side lunges
Then you can move onto doing squats – again, you can position the bosu ball whichever way is most comfortable for you.
A video doing squats ball up
And ball down
Let’s start with these :] I’ll write a follow-up with various different ab exercises you can do as well!
